I have a stiff clutch pedal and am wondering if it may be from the quick connect fitting. In normal driving the clutch is very difficult to press. If I side step the clutch in neutral, or dump the clutch it loosens up temporarily and then gets hard again. I'm wondering if shocking the hydraulics in reverse loosens up a sticky check valve in the connector. Clutch functions as it should. I'm just getting tired of my knee and foot aching. All my components are new within a couple thousand miles. I'll take any advice you can give.
Parts List:
LS7 Luk Clutch/Pressure Plate
RAM AL Flywheel
OE Master
OE LS6 Slave
Tick remote bleeder
Super DOT 4 Fluid
I'm not sure how the "check" valve in the quick connect could be sticky. When the connection is made, the valve should be open and not moving at all. I guess for kicks and giggles you could disconnect the quick connect and depress the ball with a screwdriver to see if there is a problem. I just don't think it is your source of the problem.

Thanks for the response. I’m beginning to think the same thing. I’m wondering if there’s some alignment issue or something else. I’m going to vacuum bleed the system backwards when I get a chance and see if it helps.
I'm starting to think the issue is heat related. I have already wrapped my clutch line near my headers, and it's probably helping to some extent. I'm thinking about making a heat shield for above my cats and putting an additional layer of aluminum foil over the heat wrap. I have LG Super Pros BTW.
Does anyone have advice for keeping temps down near the slave cylinder?

Hi Tim from DEI. Check out Floor and Tunnel II material. http://designengineering.com/floor-t...e-heat-shield/ . This material can be shaped and it will hold it's form. It is a 3/16 thick dimpled aluminum sheet, with a glass fiber backing and aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive. It can also be held on with locking ties or safety wire. Please let me know if you have any questions.
