Hello CovetteForum members !
Well..... I'm 58 years old and FINALLY bought my first Corvette ! I'm already wanting to swap out this 2.73 differential.......and already finding out its not going to be as easy as my 1970 Dodge Super Bee 4.10 (Or was it 4.11) LOL ! Thats been 40 years ago ! 😳
Could ANYONE help me out with this ?
I've already read ALOT of posts about doing this and right now from what I've read....... I think I'll leave the damn thing alone ! lol
Anyway....... I've got a 2001 all stock convertible and I'm really liking the car and the wife is too !
Thanks for having me on this forum ! 🙂
God bless everyone of you Corvette owners !

Welcome to the forum, Mark, and congratulations on your C5!
Believe Dodge was the 4.10 and GM was 4.11 but I'm even older so it gets a little fuzzy.
You can switch out to lower (higher number) gears in your 2 series pumpkin but I believe it will take a special set of gears to do so as you've probably already read. It may be easier to find someone in the for sale section selling a 3.15, 3.42 or other complete differential.
Lots of great members and helpful info in the C5 section of the forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1997-2004-2/.
Enjoy your ride and save the wave!

Mark - I can't blame you for wanting to go with a more performance oriented rear gearing. I am going to move your thread over to the C5 Tech section where the knowledgeable members can give you some tips, recommendations and answer any other questions you may have on doing a swap. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

3.15's are cheap on e-bay, not as hard as you think ??? IMO !!!
