I'm doing the drag spindle swap for 15" wheels and everything was going fine until I got to the axle nut. I've been PB Blasting, candle waxing, heating, etc trying to get it off and it won't budge. Broke one breaker bar and even upgraded my air gun to a 500 ft/lb one and it still won't budge. I bought a 40" 3/4 breaker bar today and even after jumping up and down on it with my 220 lbs fatness, it still won't move. Any one else have this and how did you get past it?

Thanks,

I had to find a shop that had a super heavy duty air gun to break mine loose after trying all you did plus 1200 ft lb electric impact!
Call me crazy, but wouldn't it have been easier to do the axle nut first? Like car on the ground first? Mine were pretty easy that way, not sure how bad your corrison problem is though.
I broke a socket and an adapter before I got mine loose. I had a 5 foot cheater pipe on the end of a breaker bar with an impact socket on it. When it finally snapped loose...and I mean SNAPPED, I practically hit the ground as all my weight was on that bar. It was damn tight.
If you are looking for heat and don't have a "professional setup" - this rig gets pretty close - my Dad used it to break loose a lot of rusted stuff on his old Jaguar....
Bought a port a torch and tried it today. For a while it was still stuck. Got it so hot the socket kept trying to fuse to it lol. After a couple tries I was about to give up so I hit it with some cold water and tried again, boom it came off! Thanks for the tips here, now to continue the drag spindle swap!

If you have gotten it very hot and then dumped cold water on it, the nut should not be reused as its properties have been changed by that "hot and cold" treatment which tends to make steel brittle..

I use a 1/2" breaker bar with a long 8' pipe, never met a nut I couldn't budge using that setup. Also, I always "pull up" on the bar when loosening rather than "pushing down" on it as the human body is able to lift far more than the force of gravity.
