99 EBCM repairable yet?

I see this issue in older threads. Just wondering if this has been resolved yet? Looking at buying a 99 with the lights on. Thanks!

It depends on what codes it’s throwing. My 99 FRC has the lights on and code 1255. As I understand it, that code is not repairable. Other codes have contributing factors that may result in them being fixable. That said I also have C6 z06 brakes and rotors so the car stops on a dime regardless lol.

Gotcha.. I will try to get the codes from the seller. In the meantime, this company claims to refurbish them.http://corvettespecialty.com/corvett...module-1997-00.
Anyone have success with them?

To my knowledge they’re also unable to correct the 1255 code.

So it is th dreaded 1255. What do you think that does to the value of the car. He is asking $12,500 for what looks like a nice condition 99 manual w some bolt on mods. Thanks!

Also, better make sure that any state inspection in your state won't fail it for having warning lights on. Some states are harsh, some are fairly "casual".

Yes Texas will pass a ABS light on but not a brake light. Which my daughter truck had due to the ABS being out. I unhook the connector and tapped it up. Brake light when out but ABS is on so it would pass here in Texas. Not sure if you get a brake light on with ABS out in our C5s
