C5 Radar Detector under mirror mount
Bought a $ 99 Whistler Brand Radar Detector yesterday and wondered if anyone has had any experience mounting under rear view mirror ? Trying to avoid visable cords on dash .

I find mounting it to the windshield next to the mirror on the driver side to be just as visible to the driver but near invisible to outsiders. I use the mirror power tap, so there are no visible cords.

You can also buy a bracket that attaches to the bottom of the mirror and then plug into the back of the mirror, there are no visible wires and it is hardly noticeable when looking in the car from outside.

And that gives you keyed-on power, and is off with the key off? Or is it powered all the time?
