I just noticed that after changing out my oil, the DIC indicates my oil is now at 99%, however the HUD still shows the oil at about 50% or half-way up the vertical stack. Is there a trick in resetting the HUD so that it matches the DIC?

Two completely different measurement values. Your DIC is measuring oil life til next change. So, if you have 99% soon after your change that is normal and accurate. Your HUD measures oil pressure and the bars will move with RPM. Now, there is a setting under "gauges" that measures pressure and that reading (in numbers) should match your approximate measure (in bars) on the HUD.

The HUD 'oil' option is oil pressure. Each segment should be ~10psi.

Thanks. That makes sense as the HUD measurement (vertical bars) match the analog gauges. I thought it represented oil level and not pressure.
Learn something new every day. I don't find the oil pressure, coolant temp, or fuel level to be useful on the HUD personally, I remove it to declutter it a bit.
