Default Won’t display tire learning

new sensors on the rear with new tires. All sensors were working before installing the new OEM sensors on the rear. When I go thru dic after the tire trading comes up it just beeps and tire learning isn’t displayed. Try it anyway but no horn verbs. Magnet isn’t a gm tool, seems very strong, came from the bottom of tool dish that you put bolts in working on your car. 2001 C5. Charge the battery and it shows 12.44 volts on my dm.

Its odd that it wont allow you to start at IPC learn LF tire, if its not getting to that point, I dont think it is anything with the magnet.

Scrolls thru everything on the doc, oil pressure, voltage. Just the last step to individual tire learning

Just ran through the sequence again, when you push the option button it brings up tire training, then push the reset, it stays in tire training. There is a beep, tired the magnet on different tires each time without any responses form the horn. The gauges are blank for tire pressure

Have you tried your old sensors? I dont remember offhand, but there are a few tricks you can use to test them without mounting. The Search function should provide the info you need.

What mhz are the replacements?

Also, on my 1999, the DIC shows each sensor blank until I drive it up to a certain speed. Have you tried this?

I did run it up to 50, over a couple of miles, then brought it back and ran the test. The ones I have are GM OEM for the 01 C5. Since they are new may have to use a scan tool to reset?

It has to happen exactly like that video I posted, you need to get to the point it is looking for the LF tire.
If it is not getting to that point, you might want to disconnect the battery for for 15 minutes, relearn the fob, then go to tire training again and see if it works.

Disconnected the battery, went through the fob training, it also won’t go to fob learning. It just beeps and stays on fob training.

Try standing in front of the car with the engine off and holding down the lock and unlock buttons down for 10 seconds. The car should recognize and store the fob freq.

How old is the battery? Even if it reads 12.xx volts it might draw down very fast. Fob training should be unrelated to tpms, so I'm guessing battery or poor connections.

Will pull codes, battery was new in nov/17 but it was allowed Togo real dead. I am going to by a new battery after I pull the codes. Voltage is likely the problem or a connection. Thanks for all the good advice. After a overnight charge only shows 12.45 on digital multimeter
