Loud pop on stereo - engine dies...

I just had the darndest thing happen to my '98 Cpe.
I was making a large sweeping LH turn into a parking lot
and about half way thru my stereo popped loudly then
came back on but the engine was DEAD.
Upon restart the only thing that changed was the
DIC fuel numbers - Avg. MPG, Inst MPG etc.
Anybody have similar or hypothesis? :eek:

Welcome to the Forum! I'd take a look at your battery connections. Sounds like they could possibly be loose.

The good news - I found it. I can get it to repeat everytime.
The bad news - It's the freakin' Active Handling. Everytime
it engages my car dies. Sometimes it restarts itself, sometimes not..
