2000 C5 AC issue - AC squeals when on
My 2000 C5 is having some AC issues. Right now after the AC Runs for a while it starts to squeal. The kicker is it really get louder when I turn left or right. It’s not that bad going straight. It also starts to leak water into the passenger footwell. I drove to Carlisle for 3 hrs each way last week and no problem at all. No noise no leak.
Now I had the same issue back in June and my mechanic checked out the AC drain by the engine block and it was clear. They also blew out the lines and refreshed the refrigerant. It was was working fine until today.
After doing some research here on the forum it sounds like the compressor is going, ac pulley or belt but I can’t find a thing that explains the leak or why it gets louder when I turn. Once the AC is off it all goes away.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Is it squealing inside or outside? If it's inside, I'm guessing your blower motor is under water.
