If you can cram your self into the drivers foot well, you can access that one from under the dash. I'm fat so I remove the seat and lay in the foot well with my legs sticking into the rear compartment.. FORGET ABOUT doing that on the passengers side. The dash MUST come off.

yes....I don't care what anyone says I couldn't get my hand up there and even if I could NFW I would have been able to do the job like that...dash removal is not that hard and if you are gonna replace one just do both

I think I could have got my hand up there under the dash. But I couldn't have done any actual work there with it.

It's way easier to just remove the dash pad—maybe an hours worth of work, if that.

Hi,

I have a 98 that does not have dual climate control. Pretty sure the actuator is going out. It was blowing hot, but I played around with the temperature **** and heard a clicking sound, I finally got it blowing cold air. Since I do not have dual climate is my actuator on the drivers side and can I get to it from the footwell?

Thanks

Don't remember which side it is on for the manual HVAC but it is definitely a different part number than the dual zone.
