Default Priming fuel pump help please

Hey everyone. I've got my car completely torn apart, heads are off, rear is dropped, tank out etc. I want to prime my fuel system to check for leaks before I bolt the backend all together. How can I go about doing this? I hooked up the battery and turned the key to on position and I didn't here anything. Not sure if that's the way to do it.

Ok I got it to prime, harness near tranny was unplugged. Any way to keep the pump running/system under pressure for a few minutes to check for leaks? Obviously it's a pita to pull back apart if leaking. I'm worried about those lines in the crossover tube mostly, it was real hard to see what was going on up there.

Ok I got it. Jumped the relay. Crossover tube seems a little cool. Just gonna undo that crossover and see if there is fuel in it. If not, good to go.

So if I pulled that crossover tube out a little and nothing came out. Good to go i guess?
