What has worked best for me when the 12 disc CD changer magazine
from my 01 Corvette was jammed and would not eject is to cut a 2 inch
by 8 inch strip from a stiff file folder and slide it all the way in the small
gap between the bottom of the magazine and changer and run it from
one side to the other. The magazine has always released and ejected
each time I've done that so I didn't have to take the changer out of the car.

Tried it and the magazine did move up, but not enough to get it out! Am headed to Dealer tomorrow for another issue and they'll hopefully fix it!

Thanks for your great response to my question!
All the Best,

That was a great tip in Post 2, but since you couldn't release the magazine, it might be that there's a disc/tray caught midway.
I would be very cautious with something like this, requiring a delicate touch, and any dealer but of course, it is your decision.
If you want to give it another try, just remove the changer from your car and open its cover. You will see that it is basically divided in 2 areas placed side-by-side, one to accommodate the magazine and another one where the selected disc gets extracted to and played.
Below the area that holds the loaded magazine, approximately centered with respect to it and opposite the loading door, there is a white plastic lever (the one you were supposed to touch with the strip of cardboard). If you action that lever, it will unlock the magazine. Just be careful because probably one of the trays or CDs might be stuck half way between the magazine and the playing area, preventing you from freely pulling the magazine. Just be gentle!
I should not of used the word eject. It releases the magazine enough for me to be able to use my fingers or other tool to un-jam the tray or cd that is caught. After the first time it happen with the magazine full of CDs I stopped putting more than 2 or 3 CDs in the magazine and taking out the rest of the trays.
Also, I've read that if you re-mount the changer from vertically to horizontally once fixed it tends not to jam any more. I've not done this yet but I plan on it in the near future.
The dealer did get the magazine out by repeatedly opening and closing the CD Player Cover!
There were 3 CD's stuck in the player, got them out. However, now the magazine will not stay down in the player - I can push it down and slide the cover over it, but, the player does not engage or start.
I think I will take it out of my Vette and see if I can get it going after that procedure.
May have to send it out for repair or buy a new one (am checking this Forum for for sale CD changers).
Thanks again, will respond to any further MSG's more promptly!

Loving my Vette!!
Loving your Vette is the important thing!!
Hopefully placing it horizontally will be the cure! If that doesn't fix it CD changers do show up here fairly frequently so best wishes that one pops up soon if you still need one.
