Default Error Code: 10-PCM No Communication Help Please

2003 C5 turns over but will not start. I took the seats , carpet and console out and put heat shield and sound deadening in car. I did disconnect the Battery. Worked on the project a week.
Finished it today. I connected the Battery and the car will turn over but will not start. The DIC is showing messages Reduced Engine Power,Service Traction System,Service Ride Control, Service Vehicle Soon, Low Fuel, and Service Active Handling, Checked codes and First one 10-PCM No Comm. Fuel gauge shows empty but has at least 1/2 tank.

I have removed the console before and did have to clear some codes when put it back. I have cleared all the codes that it will let me do. Car had no codes or known problems when I started this project.

Advice on this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Bill

With all those messages/lights and hoopla, you most likely have a SERIAL DATA BUSS ISSUE.

Something is corrupting the serial data buss not allowing all of the modules to communicate.

Several things come to mind when this happens:

- LDCM,
- RDCM
- and or the Seat Control Module
- Water on or in the BCM

QUICK TEST: Open BOTH doors and shake the rubber accordion tube violently. Turn the car off and back on and see if the issue changes or resolves its self.

Were the carpets in the passengers or drivers side wet or damp when you removed them?

Thanks for your replys. I went back over anything I might have done to cause this problem. The only thing I did was put a brass Knife Switch to cut the battery off . I put it on the Negative side. I took it off and put the cable back on Negative side and the car started right up and I cleared several codes and all is well. Guess it did not like the switch.
Thanks for your replys
