Floppy Driver Headlight
Ok, I rebuilt both headlights with the brass gears over a year ago and everything worked fine. Now I get an intermittent issue on just my driver side headlight. It'll do one of the following:
1) go up correctly
2) go partially up and if you help it slightly will stay up
3) it sits partially open and flops up and down, like something is broken or loose
4) stays closed
Gear looks good. any suggestions on what I might be missing?

The headlight will move around a bit if it is not against the upper or lower stops. There is a fair amount of backlash in the linkage and gear box.
The headlight circuit senses a rise in motor current when it hits either the upper or lower stops. Then it shuts off power to the motor. If it does not go up all the way, I would look for binding in linkage or something similar. The 2002 cars have a plastic gear case. Is it cracked or the bond broken?
