Chirp after HB replacement-Solved
Replaced harmonic balancer, seal, and new Continental Elite belts. There was no chirp before. Two weeks later, chirping. Do these new belts have any break in period? Live in Chicago so there is a recent weather change, but 70's today. Any thoughts on why two weeks later the noise starts? Thanks! 10/7/18 Solved - we were able to isolate the chirping to the A/C pulley. From replacing the belts, the extra tension caused an already bad tensioner to start chirping. Should have replaced all pulleys when HB was replaced. Replaced all now with Dayco pulleys, noise gone.
