So I an going to get a new key cut and a buddy of mine works where they have a key cutter. I read how to find my vats code by using the ohm meter. My reading keeps coming up 11.80 at 20k. There is no vats for that. Am I doing this wrong? Also, if I can find the vats code, will a double sided gm key with that vats that works on the truck also work on my c5? Just noticed they were much cheaper.

Don't know what scale you have that on ??…. VATS key #5 is 1130 ohms...that's probably 1180 you're looking at !!
