Default a few problems with Corvette C5...

Hoping for some help...i have a Corvette C5...
1. my "service engine soon" warning keeps popping up...i just had my harmonic balancer changed and then it started coming on right after that...also my traction control light comes on as well but goes off when engine i guess gets nice and hot and stays off...i have read the if you disconnect the battery for a few minutes it will go off as long as there is not something wrong with car to make it come on, and lowering the steering wheel as low as you can and lock it works as well...will these work?...also lately under the drivers seat has been getting warm...we checked the seat motor and it's not coming from there, feels like i have heated seats but i dont!...is this normal?...any answers will sure help...Thank You Rick...

Pull and post any codes you're getting to help pinpoint the cause(s) of the SES.
Here's a "how to" if you've not had to do that:

By all means pull your codes and post them. Also when removing or moving the steering rack out of the way to do the the balancer it is possible to leave some wires unplugged that will affect the EBCM and the turning on of the warning lights. Good luck with your repair.

Is this your first vette?
Asking b/c the tunnel by your right thigh gets really warm relatively fast.
Believe there is also a small vent in the tunnel about where your knee would be,
Might be faking you out to think the seat is heating when its just radiant from the tunnel.

FYI...Don't know if you or a shop replaced your harmonic balancer but it's a good idea to have a "crank variation relearn" done with either a Tech 2 or any scan tool with "bi directional" control...if not done you "may" have some P0300 (random misfires) pop up...the car will run fine but your C.E.L. will be flashing away !!!...yes, and see what DTC's you may have if any !!
