While you were posting those pictures I went back and re-measured the ground. I had 0.29 ohm on the continuity setting of my meter. But then I thought to switch it to the 200 ohms range and got 12.4 ohms.

So I googled that G105 ground on my phone and saw it goes to the driver side of the block. I found one end on a strap on the inner fender under the brake booster.

I took the nut off. It looked OK. I went right through all the grounds when I bought the car about 6 years ago. But I gave it a clean anyway.

THAT WAS IT!

PROBLEM SORTED!!!

I CAN'T THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH. In particular you RWOBS777 for taking me through this one step at a time.

I have a big grin taking over my face right now. :-)

Oh and I will try to get to the block end of the ground strap sometime over the winter to make sure that is as good as possible too. ;-)

Glad you got it sorted !!….actually I don't think I've cleaned that end of G105 myself...I highly recommend using this stuff on all your grounds once you get them cleaned...fantastic product....now go grab yourself a pint ...cheers !!

ALWAYS measure resistance on the 200 ohm scale...you will not get an accurate reading on the 200K setting !!
