Started the Vette in the garage this morning and the DIC said my RF tire had low pressure. I couldn't figure out how to get it to show me the pressure (had to press reset first), so I got out and checked the pressure with my manual gage -- it read 29 psi.
Went back in the car, pressed reset, then read the tire pressure in the DIC -- it said 25 psi.
First, can anyone explain the discrepancy between the DIC and my manual gage (which is new and am confident is accurate)?
Second, at what pressure does the DIC tell you the pressue is low and is it adjustable?
Several weeks ago when I started the car I received the same message; however, in my case the hand held pressure guage registered 13 psi. I turned out to be a nail in the side wall, read new tire. Anyway, I believe the warning comes on the D.I.C. at 25 psi. Also, after replacement my digital sensor readings were off on that tire for a short distance but then returned to within a pound of my hand held guage. I seam to recall that the sensors work (accurtely) when the car is in motion. Try driving around awile and if that doesn't work there might be something wrong with the sensor.
My dic and manual readings rarely match, but are close. You might want to do a "re-learn" on the sensors. BTW, temperature naturally makes a big difference. I started on a trip from Tucson with 30 lbs. and got the "low pressure" warning in Missouri, when the outside temp dropped to 40 over night and the tire pressures went down to 27. :yesnod: :)
You get the warning message when tire pressure hits 25 psi. It is not adjustable. Its pretty common that on fall mornings, C5 owners will start seeing that warning.
My guess is that both your gauge and the tire pressure sensor are a little out, after all neither are exactly laboratory gauges. Just because your manual gage is new does not mean its accurate. What do you expect for 10 bucks. But my sensors seem to reed a few psi low too.
For any of these warning messages, you have to hit "reset" to clear them.
I have 3 good manual gauges, one digital and two Meisers. They ALL record the same, but a consistant 3 pounds over what the DIC shows. Now, which do you think is more accurate?   Even working correctly, I contend the GM system is not very percise. Anyway, sensors go bad, batteries die, etc.

I expect my manual gauge (which is better than a $10 one made in China) to be within +/- 1 psi (I'll bet the made in China one is that good). I didn't expect a 4 psi different between my gauge and the sensors. Not an unreasonable expectation, is it?
