No horn chirp when locking doors
Recently the horn stopped making the chirp sound when I lock the doors with the remote fob on my 2001 C5. I have tried all the obvious solutions, checking the DIC for proper settings, key fob battery replacement, etc. All functions of the remote will work with the exception of the panic alarm and the horn chirp when locking the doors. Is there a BCM that could be weak or possibly stopped working? If so, any idea which one it could be? Thank you all in advance.

Yes the horns do work when used in the conventional manner. I can hear a very faint "click" for lack of a better description of the sound, when I press the lock button on the key fob, not to be confused with the sound of the doors locking. The lights also flash in the normal manner as well.

Disconnect the battery for an hour or so and let the BCM fully power down. Then re connect the battery and attempt to reset ALL of the DIC functions that you can set to your desired settings and reset your FOB memory functions for BOTH FOBs.
