You can reset the oil life by turning the key to the on position (not starting) and pressing the accelerator either 3 times or 4 times, then shut off. It'll show a message that oil life was reset on the DIC. But yes, the Tech2 will do it also.
I have been using an app called torque. You will need a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into your obd2 port (around 20 bucks give or take). There is a free version of the app as well as a paid version. It will read/delete codes etc. and give a ton of other info. Check it out.
bravo29,
I'm curious about the app you make reference to. How does it work? Is it like (for lack of a better word) a scanner?
Thanks,
Rock
I use Dash command with the all the GM modules. It's sold on google play and Apple for $9.99 plus $5 per module. What sucks the company doesn't support the the phone apps anymore even though its still being sold. So no updates to bugs an such.
