Ive been chasing a driver's side headlight issue for quite some time now. Driver's side wont go up by passenger works fine. The actuator has been replaced a several times but issue was not resolved, so obviously that is not the problem. Today, (more or less out of frustration) I twisted the headlight switch on the turn signal stalk "more aggressively" than usual (for lack of a better term) and to my surprise the driver's headlight now comes up and has been working fine all day.
Does anyone know the wiring involved with the switch on the turn signal stalk? Specifically, is it even possible to have a failing/failed switch that only turns up one of the headlights and not the other? Or if the switch is failing both headlights wont be activated (and therefore this is just a coincidence)? Thanks for your help.
Not possible, I can only say coincidence. The headlight control module (HCM, located underneath passenger headlight) controls both headlight motors from one signal from the headlight switch. I would check your grounds.
