Default fuel gauges
New to owning a 1998 c5 convertible. Gas gauge drops to empty , already replaced the right hand fuel tank sender assembly. Still having same problem, what should i check next?

Run Techron through...may take several tanks. I would try this before any further repairs.

Pull the DTC codes and look for:
DTC P0461 Fuel Level Sensor Performance
DTC P0462 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
DTC P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Voltage

DTC P1431 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Performance
DTC P1432 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Circuit Low Voltage
DTC P1433 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Circuit High Voltage

P1431 was the code the first time and friends told me to change the right tank assembly, which I did an then drove the carr again an it reset the same code

When does it do this? Random? After you fill the tank?

Seem to be every time I try to drive about a hour, 40 to fifty miles
