Default Changing starter help

I'm in the process of changing my starter out, but I've seemed to run into a road block that I'm stumped on. I've got the starter bolts out, but I can't seem to get the starter out, and I also can't get the wires off of the starter solenoid. How did people manage to get the wires off the solenoid? I can't seem to bend any sockets or my big hands up there.

Have you dropped the exhaust? If you haven't it is not coming out. Once that is down and out of the way you will have better access to it.

yep, the exhaust is out of the way, I can't seem to reach the solenoid to remove the wires, which Is keeping the starter from coming out I believe.

I was able to do mine from the top and bottom. I can say I have skinny hands and wrists.

Headers? If not otherwise you may have to remove the exhaust manifold.

I did take that off, previously I hadn't, I found an angle to finally reach the nut I couldn't thanks to following what you did, now just have to find the right size extension lol.

I believe I just stood over the passenger side fender after pulling the headers and used a socket and extension to remove the two nuts for their respective terminals on the starter.

It's a whole lot easier to get the cables disconnected from the solenoid if you drop the starter first, the starter has to come out anyway.
