Default 97 C5 Corvette gauge issue

I have a 1997 corvette 6spd with gauge issues. The gauge will drop to empty at 3/4 tank and again at 1/2 tank. After it drops you can turn car off and back on it will work but ultimatly do it again until 1/2 tank. After the gauge hits 1/2 it will no longer register by restarting the car but only by refilling car over 1/2 tank. Car has 3 sets of pumps in last 3 months and has done the same on every set ( 2 of which were GM pumps).

Also I put a lmc5 in car and car still does 10 second/column lock which I know for a fact is right becuause I tried 2 different lmc5s both with and without brown wire mod. Car also has some speratic issues like lights flickering and ocasional airbag light.

All this being said Could my BCM be going bad or is there something else.

Code 1431 H C in DIC and techron will not work tried 3 20oz bottles so far in last 3 tanks.

You might try the 32 oz techron concentrate. Worked for me on two tanks.

Several treatments is NOT TOO MUCH. HOWEVER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If the techron does not work, you will have to pull out the pump units and change out the level sensor/s Sometimes the sensor gets soo corroded with the Sulphur deposits that its very difficult if impossible to remove.. Its a whole lot easier to try a few more treatments and some time.

1431 is Fuel level sensor 2. That's the one you will need to change.

Make SURE that you run the tanks down to just about EMPTY before you dump in your cleaner so that it goes into BOTH tanks!!!

If you end up removing the right sensor then you can check the resistance on the sensor element when you move the floating element all the way . It should move between 40 ohm(empty) and 250 ohm(full tank) If the variation in resistance is not smooth , then you can try dismantle the sensor and clean the contact points carefully with a eraser like I did last summer . Do not use sandpaper , it will ruin the contact points .
