does your A4 leak
In a year looking at this Forum, I have seen no auto trans leaks on early C5's. When I got my 2000 last winter it stayed in an unheated garage and trans leaked when first started. This year it is in heated garage and no problems at all. There was a TSB about this years ago. I have checked fluid level several times just as peace of mind. Must not be much of a problem or I would have seen something about it by now. Thanks, Jim

1998 A4, 88K miles, no leaks. I do not use Synthetic Trans Fluid. Original owner ran the fluid to 83K. I welded a drain plug to the bottom of the pan, and now drain it every winter. I put 4K miles on her this year. The fluid was much clearer this time. I might just drain it again next winter and call it good.
