I purchased at 2001 Corvette Convertible that had the Vanity, Map, Glove Box and Hood Lights control relay and fuse removed. After installing these missing items, these lights work but the Map lights on the mirror stay on for 1 minute when the doors are closed. Can you adjust this time or is this OK?
Welcome to Corvette Forum! Check in with the folks on the C5 forum. A lot of knowledgeable folks there and they maybe able to help you. I’m sure the mods will move this for you. Good luck!
A minute sounds about right, and I believe that there is no way to change it. My concern is why the relay and fuse were removed in the first place, it's possible that maybe one of those lights was staying on and draining the battery.
I checked and All the lights are going off. It was my concern also why they were removed. The owner I got it from said he thinks the shop did this 2or 3 years ago.
The interior light off-delay is not adjustable. Most likely the shop pulled the fuse because they had a door open and thought it could drain the battery. I would just keep an eye on it the first few times after driving it.
What is the correct number for #37 Micro Relay in this circuit? The Chev dealer gave me (02483-BOPC), is this the correct relay?
Don't overcomplicate this UNLESS you end up with a dead/low battery. The interior lights will stay on for a long time it can seem, as long as they go off, don't stress. Check it at night with doors closed. Like 01pewter said.
