Default Horn blows

Soooo, I'm working on a no rear tail light on a 1999 F150 and I hear a car horn go off. It blared for about a minute and I wondered why no one came to turn it off. Soooo, I wandered over to find it was my vette making the ruccus! So I pulled the fuse. Thought it might be from the rain last night but it was dry all day yesterday and today and when I plug in the fuse, the horn goes off again!! Any body have a clue??

It's very common. The horn membrane in the wheel is having issues. If you Google it you'll see a lot of individuals with the same symptoms including step-by-step servicing.

I have a no horn condition at the wheel. The horn does work with the alarm etc. I think I'm heading down the membrane lane shortly.

Mine ended up being the Turn signal switch.

Be sure to test the membrane switch with a voltmeter before replacing it. I replaced mine and it ended up not being the problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I need to get a wiring diagram and do some testing,
