Limp mode, codes, after new battery install.
Posting for my cousin, 2002 c5 z06, 70k miles. Battery finally took a ****, he went to orileys and got a new optima red top.
Now car is throwing tons of codes, wont go over 15 miles an hour.
Anybody have some advice? Car is bone stock, no mods whatsoever.

It is common for a bunch of codes after a battery change. It is NOT common to have drivability issues. If he wants to record the codes, he can, then clear them to see what returns. Otherwise just clear the codes and see what the codes are.

Depending on the popularity of a given battery, they can sometimes set on a shelf for a year before being purchased and put into service. Definitely check the voltage (engine off and no electrical load). A fully charged battery should something like 12.5 to 12.7v when fully charged. So do put a charger on the new battery and let it sit for a few hours. When you get the codes, post them here; that will be a help in figuring out whats wrong with the driveability issue.
