Default turn signal flashers

new to forum. I've got a c5 (2000). right turn signal isn't working. I assume I need to replace the flasher. i'm not a motorhead, but I think I can do this if I can find it. where is it located? anything else I need to know? tia.

probably just need to replace the bulb - not the whole flasher assembly.
you can probably get your hand in through the brake duct & twist the socket out... if not, jack it up & take the panel off the bottom of the bumper.
the bulb's a 4157 (not 3157) because it runs higher voltage than 'normal' ones. you could also swap to LEDs but will need in-line resistors or an LED flasher module to keep the blink rate the same.

if you need more detail, it's discussed all over the place on here. welcome to the board.

More than likely there is a hole in the housing that is letting water kill the bulb. patch the hole the replace bulb with led switchbacks

If all of your right turn bulbs (front and rear) are not working but the left are, you most likely have a faulty multifunction stalk (MFS). It's the stalk that controls your headlights, turn signals, etc. The same flasher provides power to both sides, and it is the MFS that dictates which side.

Engage the 4 way flashers, then walk around the car to verify all bulbs flash. The four ways use another flasher. Post back with what you find.

Technically it's on the same flasher with a different circuit.

My turn signal problems all related to the socket being fairly burnt and bad connections. Had changed out the sockets last year when I repainted the nose but they burnt out again pretty fast. At times I could just tap on the bumper with my hand and they would come on. Then hit a bump down the road and the bulb loose contact and not work. I finally got fed up with it a month ago and ordered a better quality socket set, LED bulbs and a Hyper flash unit for under the dash. While there I put new lens assemblies in also. Totally satisfied now. Here's a pic of the finished job before letting the car back down. And, yes there is a paint mismatch on the nose from when I painted it last Spring. I have the stuff to redo it but not the mood yet. Perhaps this Spring. ;-)
