Default Ride height difference - front/rear

I read it somewhere recently but can’t find it again. Does anyone know what the maximum difference should be in ride height in the front and rear when measuring on the frame at the jacking locations? I’m lowered all the way on stock bolts in front and have a couple threads left in the rear. I’m going to measure when I get home but I want to make sure the rake I have is acceptable. Does anyone know what the max is or the acceptable “window” of height difference?

The 1/4 difference is from the larger tire size that is stock on coupes & convertibles.

I set my car up level per the Z06 spec, I run almost identical tire sizes F & R

So when I measure the height of the front and rear jacking locations on the frame it should be the same, or at least real close?? Well not on mine because it’s lowered, but on a stock car they would be the same height?

It won't mater if it is lowered, you can either have it level at the J & K or add a 1/4" to the height in the rear. If your car is lowered say 1" from stock or you want to lower it 1" from stock or you want to find out how much lower than stock your car was lowered if you bought it that way, using the J & K specs is an easy way to check this. The only thing that doesn't look right on these cars if if the K height is lower than the J height, keep the K level or higher.

What I do is install my jacking pucks & mine I can twist them so they are tight to the frame, measure the height from the ground to the bottom of the puck & add the height of the puck to get my total height, my car is 2.75" lower in the rear & 2.5" lower in front & I set my J & K level so my height at those points F & R are 3.5" to the frame or 2.5" with the pucks installed, and running the same size tires F & R my wheel well height in the rear is still higher than the front by I think 1/2"

Pretty much what I did was lower the fronts all the way still using the stock bushings and left two threads showing on the rears. I did this several years ago after watching a YouTube video but now I wish I had held off because I know it messes up your corner weights. Oh well too late now

I wouldn't worry too much about your corner weights & scaling unless you are tracking or running autocross, you probably won't notice much of a difference for the street, the only thing you need to worry about is going too low & hitting the bump stops on your shocks.

Nah no tracking or autox for me. I never hit the bump stops on my last set of shocks ( Bilsteins) so hopefully I won’t on those c6Z shocks I just put in. Out of curiosity I will measure this evening the difference in height between the two jacking points and report back.

Are you lowered? I just checked and at the puck locations the front and rear are almost exactly the same on mine, the front is just a hair lower, maybe the width of a penny. Measured at the wheel wells (not accurate I know) the rear is about 1 3/4 inches higher.

Nope. Factory height. I daily my Z 3 seasons, lowering would probably be an issue.

Well now I’m confused because the chart showed no difference in height at these locations but yours is stock and there’s a 1/4in difference. I’m thinking I may need to raise the rear of mine up a bit.

There is a tolerance on the far right of the chart, if you are in that range it is acceptable, you do not have to be exactly at the Service Preferred height shown.
