Super Chip?
People tell me a "chip" will add a lot to my cars power, response, etc. How hard are they to get to and install and how much are they? Best ones? Will is adversely affect my gas mileage if I am largely behaving? I already have a Blackwing and Borla Stingers.

There isn't a "chip" ..but there are (PCM)Power Control Module programs that can modify the performance of your '99. :yesnod: There are several options out there. the most popular is the hand held units like Diablo PREDATOR or the Hypertech III which connect to the cars computer and you can simply click the appropiate changes yopu wish to make such as shift points,(A4) or gear changes, fan on -off control among other functions.. :D
You can also have a tuner use the LS1 edit which is a diect port connection to the PCM and you can custom tune the car to your specifications..
Unless you have modified the car with Heads and cam or perhaps forced induction like a supercharger or even nitrous oxide the hand held units will work wonders for the cars performance.. :yesnod:
Use the search feature to look up old posts about scan and tuning your car with these programmers..Also there is a C5scan and tune forum to learn more about the subject:D
