Would you care to share the information about the rubber kit with us??
Sure, if I had bothered to look for a rubber kit......... again, I have the pfadt kit that I found for $465...... I'm just saying if you want a soft ride, YOU should go with rubber bushings.
That’s the point. Looking for them/options.
Obviously poly is readily available. We know that.
then perhaps I misunderstood. you said that option "A" was "A) Buy poly/delrin bushings (noisy but cheap/albeit higher labor - still cheaper than B)"
I offered option "C" which was the phadt poly bushing that are impregnated with Graphite to keep them quiet. at $465 its not cheap but then again they are quiet and poly....
If you only wanted rubber, then why not post "where can I get rubber bushing for my car?"
the simple answer is you can't get just the bushings.. you will need to get the upper and lower control arms as an assembly.... no one repop's just the rubber bushings, unless its in an aftermarket arm. but then it might not be correct... the AC delco arms are OEM but, they are very expensive (even on rock auto) the $465 for the option "C' poly will get you ...maybe 2 of the 8 A/C delco control arms you need for the car.
I'f I'm not mistaken Froggy on here had a set of rubbers he had pressed out of his car when he went to poly.... perhaps he still has them.
One of my coworkers had Vansteel bushings installed in his car, he does a lot of autoX he said the bushings are quiet but firm & if you do hit a large bump or expansion strip on the road you will know it, you get quite a jolt, he runs 18's all around.
This is a thread he did for his setup & check out the LG video showing rubber bushing movement.
Sway bar end links are plastic. Can’t believe they are still on the car.
Axles are rusted bad. Surely they are stiff compared to new. Autozone sells a replacement for $72 each surely better than what’s there now. The rear hubs are common to make noise. Many options even Chinese @ $75each would be better than old. A new set of Billstein shocks would be less than $400 for the set of 4. And it appears the passenger side exhaust had a leak where the h-pipe meets the axle-back. The black soot on the fuel tank shielding shows where it was leaking. New gaskets from GM aren’t cheap but better than paper found at parts stores. That’s worth the extra cost. You can reuse also if not many miles and you have to take apart for some reason. Might as well put new diff seals while it’s apart.
