Default Which Cam/Head package to get???

https://www.texas-speed.com/c-3237-c...tte-2002.aspx#

Out of these which should I get? Right now my 02 C5 base is completely stock. I plan on getting intake, exhaust, x-pipe, long tubes, hi-flow cats. Wondering which cam package to get along with what cams and all that. Will be mostly driving on the street no racing or tracking.

I'd start with determining your goals and the intended use of the car. I have the PRC 225 as cast and a 228/232 cam on the way to me.

What're your goals with that setup? I guess my goal is giving my dads 2016 Challenger a good run for his money.

well do you have a M6 or Auto if your running a auto trans check and see what rear gear you have ? if you don't know look for your RPO codes in your glove box and post a pic .
you would be amazed what that car will do with a 3.42 rear gear and some nice bolt ons and a great tune i would look into doing these mods first which will help take to the next step CAM or HEADS or BOTH

BTW are you looking to do the yourself or a shop ?

I have an M6. Also I was going to have a shop do the install for head and cams. I can do the other minor mods myself like exhaust, intake, headers etc.

Which bolt ons?

Why not build an ls3 instead? Cost will be similar and im talking a diy.

Someone else doing it for you, then forget it cost almost close to half what the c5 is worth.

As in buying a ls3 block and building? Sounds a lot more difficult.

I agree with the 227 cam further if you have the time I'd do the cam swap yourself.

Having replaced a LS6 with another LS6, it would be. On your budget, pick a cam and run with it.

Long term you will have much more options for hp instead of adding a supercharger.

Really not worth rebuilding or upgrading the ls1/ls6 for the value
