Engine sqealing?
Ive got this problem and Ive heard many different things fom idle tensioner to alternator and harmonic balancer. What is the true solution and since my car is out of warranty what have you had to pay to fix this? Thanks,

i have the same problem at times. It only does it after it rains. Its your belt tensioner, mine squeals, and when i dab a little bit of WD-40 on it it completely goes away,,,, until the next time it rains :cuss :cuss

Mine does it too. I had to replace my tensioner because it was worn out but with the new tensioner on I still hear that little squeal untill it warms up then it goes away. Im not exactly sure where it is coming from but now I know it is not my tensioner. Also how tight is your belt? Is your tensioner pulled all the way to its maximum position because mine is and im not sure if it should be that way? It seems that this is why my old tensioner wore out.

Had a sqealing and thought it might be the idler. I tried a few things and then replaced the belt and the sqealing stopped. :seeya :) The belt I replaced looked fine. :seeya :seeya
