Dreaded C1242.... FIXED!
So, while it was sitting, the Corvette decided the ABS pump wasn't going too work anymore. Used this is a $900 part, refurbished is in the $1200-1400 range. The code I got was for an open circuit on the pump motor (C1242). I have the factory service manuals and went through the testing and it suggested there was a wiring issue even though all my grounds were good. I hooked the pump up to the battery and it spins so the pump isn't the issue. So, figuring I have nothing too lose, I remove the control module and take it apart. I can tell it has been apart before and see where someone tried too reflow the solder on the relay and pump motor lugs. I de-soldered all of that and reflowed it myself. Tested the relay on the battery and got a click and continuity across the common and NC contact. There must be some stars and planets aligned somewhere because it worked! Now I am just waiting for the next expensive failure this turd is going too have.
