Default Water Pump Replacement

Good Day...Gentlemen,

...trying to put together my C5. Was overheating and I decided it was time to replace the water pump, radiator, hoses etc. On the casting the water pump there is what I think a part number of 12600470. When I search on the various automotive parts places I cannot find an exact match. Got any ideas or recommendations on this replacement?

Default Water Pump

Thanks for the input on the GM Water Pump. Was it assembled in the U.S.? From what I have seen on various sites prices for the pumps vary from a low of $75 ( Gates ) up to over $200 ( AC Delco ) just for the pump only and possibly gaskets. Prices are all over the place...bottom line is fit and finish...

Thanks...Ed,
...will check on Amazon for the kit. Price is more in the range compared to Rock Auto and Summit that I have looked at...

ACDelco 251-744: OEM replacement that uses the newer style water neck with separate thermostat. Made in USA I believe
ACDelco 252-846: "Professional" series that's made overseas, a lot cheaper. Uses older style water neck with built in thermostat. I bought this one and it works well. Only issue I've had is the bracket on it caused my blower setup to be misaligned slightly... was not an issue with the autotensioner when I was NA.

Interesting - looked them both up - one is literally 2x more expensive. Confusing because on Amazon, both pics look the same.

I stay away from Chinese parts. The kit from gm direct is cheap all things considered. If another option is considerably cheaper, it’s probably too good to be true.

Got my acdelco from summit, paid about $100 for it.
Turned out i only needed to swap out gasket. Since the old one blew out but just did the whole thing.
