03 oil pan leak
#2
Burning Brakes
The lower bat wing portion is easy to remove if the gasket needs to be replaced. I would check all the blots for proper torque before pulling anything off. The oil pan is a major job and not normally an issue with leaks. The most likely cause of oil is the oil pressure sender behind the intake and rear mail seals and harmonic balancer seal. I would make sure you don't have a OPS leaking that's running down the engine. Good luck

Change the PCV valve/hose assembly when you fix the pan. The PCV gets oil cruddy over time and fails causing crankcase pressure buildup, hence the blown gasket.

My oil pan was "wet" with oil, and I checked the torque on the bolts, and found them all loose. Be careful, however, as these bolts don't take a lot of torque, it's about 8-9 ft/lbs.
