Has anyone ever made a pigtail to run the cooling fans backwards to blow out the radiator? Would they move enough air for this? Just a thought I came up with today while using compressed air to clean mine.
I made an air comb to clean mine (or you can buy one). Best way to clean it I think unless you want to pull the radiator out. Crap was stuck in there pretty good I can't imagine the fans would have enough force to clear it good.

Kinda what I expected but I thought I’d ask. I’ve been around some forestry equipment with hydraulic fans that can run backwards to blow crap out of their radiators but obviously that’s a massive amount of fast moving air.

I had my rad out, blew out with air, flushed with water, thought I had it clean and did both over still got a bunch of dirt out, mine could be exception, but the rest of my car is pristine ????
I've tried making my own "blow gun" of different designs and nothing, I mean nothing comes close to the velocity and force this unit puts out. You get one gun for air and one gun for using water. http://www.radiatorgenie.com/Radiato...e_p/rg1001.htm
One word of caution, when using the blow gun the velocity is so high that the it pushes the tip back with more energy than anticipated. Make sure to have a firm grip on it to avoid it pushing back into the radiator or condenser and bending the fins when blowing out debris between them.

This is what use. I also attach a Ortho bug sprayer quart container between the hose and Genie water gun and fill it with Dawn. I let the water/dawn spray stay on the radiator for a while then rinse and follow up with the Genie air gun.
