Well I can’t seem to find the post about adjusting the door windows. But I had the strangest thing happen last night while the wife and I were headed to eat. Has anyone been driving down the rode and had their passenger window drop about and 1/8 inch. We were driving albeit under heavy acceleration and my wife says you need to stop I think the top is about to come off. So I stop and check the roof clamps and everything looks good but there is now a 1/16 inch gap between window and window seal. So I mess with the top and window a bit and get the gap to close abit. We go eat and before we leave to head home I mess with the top some more. Still no change. So when we get home I pull car into garage and check things further and notice that the window is about an 1/8 inch from the window clamp on the top. I know I need to adjust the window up, but am concerned as to what caused this problem in the first place. Window goes up and down with no problem so don’t think its the motor. Anyone have any ideas? Also, can anyone find the post about adjusting side windows? Thanks.
Have you or someone recently replaced the window regulator/motor? It sounds like you will have to remove the door panel, insulator and speaker to readjust the position of the glass in the regulator then re-tighten it so that it doesn't move.
Sounds like you only need to loosen the two bolts on the glass and slide it up a bit. There is a mechanism that adjusts the window very slightly on the regulator that you can adjust too but it only moves the glass up or down a very small amount.
