When I first got my C 5 corvette it would start with a quick flick of the key. Now it turns over several times before it starts. I have new plugs and wires so I am thinking it is not pre priming with gas.
So how can I check this. Thx

Agree with gimp !!...get a fuel pressure gauge and see if pressure drops more than 5 psi after 1 minute after you read the priming pressure...pump will prime for 2 seconds then turn off... fuel pressure should be 55-62 psi...these numbers are for an ‘01...your ‘01 is probably the same !!

what happens if you turn the key to #2 and wait for the fuel pump to prime, and then start it? Does it fix the issue?
What I should have asked first is how much longer does it take to start ??...does this happen on first start up of day ??...if you drive the car until it reaches operating temp and you shut it off does is it still a longer crank ??...if I were you I’d take it to an auto store and have them test the battery...the injectors and especially the coils take a lot of juice on a cold start up...the car’s sensors need full voltage too...ANY driveability issues need the battery to be checked first !!
