Headlight problem
I will try to keep things in order and short as possible.
I had passengers headlight assembly replaced by a body shop. The whole assembly.
Twilight on headlights work.
Twilight off and trying to work headlights in manual mode using headlight switch on stalk, headlights will not come up or on.
If I pull back on stalk to use high beams, manual mode, lights will come on while they are down.
I thought I saw a little smoke around stalk and smelled something burning when I tried to use manual mode the first time. Don't know for sure.
My car only has 38k on it. I wouldn't think the car would have this problem so early.
Thanks in advance to everyone for the help.

Bring the car back to whoever made the repair, sounds like an electrical issue, possibly a short.

I am afraid to take it back. If they have already caused this problem, who knows what they will goof up next time. Any suggestions where I should start to look to troubleshoot this problem?

Sounds like the stalk has a short in it. Been known to happen.

Take it back to the repair shop. They screwed something up. Mileage doesn’t really matter. These cars are 20 years old.
