Who's had experience with Hawk HP+ pads? I've heard they have a new formulation to reduce excessive squealing. I saw some YouTube videos of the Hawk HP+ (old formulation) and jeez do they squeak in low temp, low load street driving!!! I'm researching pads now that could work for my street use and a random track day (I'm a novice), but I couldn't tolerate a high amount of squeak. Thoughts? Any experiences?

I have them and they do squeak on occasion but it's only at very low speeds like approaching a red light or stop sign... they slow me down well which is what I want, personally I don't care about the noise

that I don't know, do you know how to tell the difference?
im not sure, I saw them advertised somewhere. I’m still debating if I should go with HPS, HPS Race, HPS 5.0, or HP+ for my first set of performance pads. Use will be 95% street, but I want to use them this year at my first HPDE event.

I've been using HP + pads since December 2013, now on the third set on the front, second on rear. The last set did squeal some and make dust. I turn up the audio and clean the wheels at times.
The new set ( February 2019) (no clue whether they are "new" or old formula) does not seem to squeal. Not sure about dust since I have not cleaned the wheels recently. They are pretty dusty right now.

I like the HP + pads because they have great bite cold on the street and very good bite HOT on the track. A couple of years ago I checked front rotor temperature after the cool down lap and after parking in the paddock- 550 degrees. They were much hotter a lap before.
