I recently purchased a set of LASFIT LA SERIES 9005, and 9006 ALL IN ONE LED bulbs for my C5. I saw several YouTube videos indicating these particular bulbs were a great upgrade and were PLUG & PLAY with no additional modifications necessary, and no problems experienced. I was planning to install them in the next several days as my wife and I are taking the Vette on an extensive road trip now that winter is gone. Tonight I was browsing this forum and have seen several postings where others have installed LED's and experienced problems that weren't there before the install. Has anyone installed these particular bulbs? Did you experience any difficulties or were they truly P&P? I would like to install them as planned; however, know that I should have installed them sooner and "trip tested" before we leave. If I am going to potentially experience problems - any suggestions as to alternatives. Presently I have somewhat newer halogen bulbs with the H4 modification done several years ago. They were OK for the driving we did; however, won't be for this trip (lots of back road night driving - moose and deer tend to appear out of nowhere)!

Without resistors or hacking up the HCM harness, all LED headlight bulbs and most HID systems will play havoc with the HCM. If you truly want better lighting, get one of Radioflyer's setups. Nothing that drops into the stock headlight housing will come close. Not to mention potential glare issues for other drivers. Or stick HID/LEDs into your foglights.
