C5 4L60E interchangeable by year
Long story short, have a 2001, slipping 3rd & 4th.
Found two good used transmissions, one is a 1998 and the other is 2004. Before we go down the rabbit hole of rebuilding the trans, RPM trans, 2004 is newer, etc, etc...
From the perspective of just the years, are all C5 4L60E interchangeable? Tried cross referencing part numbers online and couldn't get an exact answer. Looks like some place list 98-00 and 01-04 as fitment?

I'm interested to know as well. Along the way, I read that the 2004 had stronger internals but not sure if that's true or not.
