Quick answer: Head alignment dowel stuck in head
I am planning on installing my driver side head tomorrow. The passenger side went on just fine, however, one of the alignment dowels for aligning the head gasket that sticks up out of the block to align the driver side head managed to pull out with the drivers side head.
Any ideas how too easily remove this? It looks like it is compression loaded in there but I don't want to go prying and mess up the machined surface. Here are some pictures of what I am talking about. The first two block where the head lines up:

This picture shows where the rear dowel should be (bottom right hand side of the head) but it instead got pulled out with the driver's side head and is located in the lower rear section of the head as seen below:
The next pictures show where the rear dowel got stuck in the driver's side head (back, nearest driver)
Any idea how to remove this dowel and reinstall in block to get the head and head gasket done tomorrow? Sorry, I did not search, I am on a time budget and need to get this put together tomorrow in order to get to tuner and rear end guy. Thanks for the tips
