intermittent a/c
found a nice c5 , seller tells me that a/c sometimes just quits and he has to repeatedly push the button before it will go on again . I looked through all the stickys and didnt see anything concerning this issue . Its a 2004 coupe any ideas ? Thanks

First suggestion is to have it evaluated by a good local A/C shop. Car doesn't need to be lifted for evaluation, so most shops can handle it without breaking the rockers. My compressor was leaking at the center seam -- not a terribly rare condition from reading the threads here. If it's intermittent, it may be as simple as being low on refrigerant -- but that means it's leaking somewhere -- and I'd bet on the compressor...

It is low on refrigerant and the correct amount is critical for the system to work properly. It wouldnt be low unless it has a leak
so as suggested, go to an ac shop . they can find and fix that leak and you will have a system that will cool as expected
