Driver door lock & mirror position operational failures
It unlocks every time normally, and the passenger door lock has no issues.
I wish to repair it but how can I determine whether this failure is a actuator problem, a door control module problem, or perhaps something else?
* pressing the button on the driver's door panel, or the passenger door panel, or the fob
I uploaded an 8-second video to Dropbox.com demonstrating the failure:

(2) The driver's door side-view mirror, but not the passenger door side-view mirror, suffers from Wandering Mirror Syndrome. EVERY TIME that I start the car, the mirror autonomously changes to a bizarre position, like up-and-away. The memory pre-set buttons do not return the mirror to its correct position. When I press the LEFT MIRROR button then the direction buttons on the panel nothing happens. I press a direction button again (holding down of course) and the mirror will move several degrees then stop. So I have to press the direction buttons repeatedly and this happens every time.
I was about to install a mirror motor cutoff switch (4PST) and already bought the toggle switch (see forum entry below). Perhaps just a single failed component is causing both the lock and the mirror malfunctions?

Other than a minor passenger-side dash rattle, these represent my 2003 Corvette's final unresolved problems. Hopefully they'll be rectified shortly.
As for the rattle, all I really have to do is locate a lengthy section of roadway that reliably reproduces the rattle when driven upon, have somebody else drive, and I will sit in the passenger seat listening here and there with my stethoscope. I simply cannot determine its source while I am driving. Somewhere near or deep to the glove box, I believe.
