Default 1998 C5 Rear Cradle Replacement

Hey guys,

New to the forum. Anyways, I am having a shop replace the rear cradle on my 98 C5 Hatchback. Bought a whole new cradle but apparently it doesn’t have the rear ABS pump/module mounting bracket. I guess it’s a different generation cradle from an 01-04 C5 and was factory changed to a front mount bracket?

So, do I need to buy a whole new cradle or can I just buy the crossmember with the rear mount abs bracket and transfer everything over?

Thanks a ton.

To do it right you are going to want to buy a whole new early cradle. The part that the bracket for the pump bolts to is not removable from the cradle. It is the cradle.

So, I would be able to just buy this part with the bracket and attach everything else?

The rear cradles between front mount ABS and rear mount ABS are structurely different, see below difference.
