Need electrical help- VCM scanner
This is from my support ticket to HP tuners, but it has all the necessary info. Any ideas on what to look for.....
I reported this issue when I first got the MPVI2 but have not scanned until recently. The original issue was that my radio or clock would not work when the scanner was plugged in and scanning. I am not sure if leaving it plugged in and not scanning affects the radio or not but usually the radio starts off being on from what I remember. Because I thought it only affected the radio and scanned fine I just figured I would not listen to the radio while scanning. But, I had to tune and scan over the weekend and I found other issues as well when scanning here they are:
1) I get a c1255 code which is the EBCM, but only the code and no dash lights. This code when real always sets the dash lights,
2) Radio\clock goes out
3) my TPMS tire sensors do not read properly. They sometimes show no reading and other times they do so the seem to go on and off.
4) the light on my shift selector blinks....
I am not sure what else if affected, but as soon as I stop scanning and power cycle the car everything works again and I can clear the C1255 code.....
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this???What are my options?
Thanks Tony

As CRAZY
as this sounds, replace the IGNITION SWITCH and see if this clears up your issues. There are hundred's of post on crazy electrical crap with out C5 and many of them are due to a dirty/burnt or corroded ignition switch electrical contacts. You have a voltage issue and those voltages come from the IGNITION SWITCH! The (hot in run & start) buss. Here is my IGNITION SWITCH POST.. Check it out:

Also, I put the aswithcn in acc mode and tried to ohm test the connections. For instance, I have zero connectivity between F and H in Bills diagram. With arms 1 and 4 down I think I should...What am i missing here please...

Usually I do not have issuing testing electrical items, but I am trying to read your hand drawn schematic to see where I should be getting less then .1 ohms. I can get a good reading between lets say a number on the right and its corresponding "letter" on the right but never get reading for anything on the left side of the switch .....should I be?
